Tasks

A discussion often ends with something to do. Turn the comment that says it into a task: it gets an assignee, an optional due date and a checkbox, and it lands in the assignee's to-do list.

Create a task

  1. Under a comment or a reply, click Task.
  2. Pick the Assignee among the people who can open the project. You are selected by default.
  3. Optionally pick a Due date.
  4. Click Create task.

You can do it in a discussion and in an element's details panel. A comment carries one task at most.

The task under its comment

Once created, the task shows under the comment:

  • a checkbox: tick it when it is done, untick it to reopen;
  • who it is for;
  • the due date, in red once it has passed.

The menu next to it lets you Edit task (assignee, due date) or Remove task. Removing the task keeps the comment.

The assignee, the person who created the task and the project's editors can change it.

Your to-do list

The inbox, behind the bell in the header, has a To do tab next to Notifications. The number on it is your count of open tasks. It lists them with the ones due soonest first, then the others, newest first. Each line shows the comment, the element and the project, and the due date.

  • Tick a task from the list to complete it.
  • Click a line to open its discussion.
  • Show done tasks lists the last ones you completed.

On an element

An element's details panel has a To do section listing the tasks of all its discussions, replies included, with who each is for. Done tasks are hidden; Show done brings them back.
