Activity Log
The activity log records who created, changed or deleted what in your organization: C4 elements and relationships, decisions, documents, API contracts, event channels, flows, whiteboards, releases and projects.
You can read it in two places:
- the History page, under Workspace in the sidebar, for the whole organization;
- the History section of an element's details panel, for that element alone.
The History page
Each line shows the action, the item, its type, who made the change, the project and the date. Filter by name, by user or by action at the top of the page.
Open the item
Click an item's name to open it. A container, component or code element opens in the diagram at its own level, already selected. A decision, a document or an API contract opens on its page. Items that were deleted have no link.
See what changed
An update line says how many fields changed. Click the arrow at the end of the line to unfold them: each field shows its value before, struck through, and after.
- Long values, such as a document's content or an API specification, are not copied into the log. The line shows how many lines were added and removed instead.
- An update that only moved an element or changed its style says so: Only layout or style changed.
- Changes made before this was introduced, on October 16, 2026, have no detail.
Where field-level encryption is enabled, which is the case on Archyl Cloud, the recorded values are encrypted at rest like the content they copy.
An element's history
Select an element in the diagram. Its details panel ends with a History section listing its five latest changes, with the fields each one touched. Click a change to unfold its values. When there are more, See all changes opens the History page filtered on that element.
Current limits
- The log shows what changed but does not undo it. To bring the whole model back to an earlier state, use Time Travel.
- Changes made through the MCP server by an agent are not in the activity log yet.
- The name filter does not match names stored encrypted, which is the case on Archyl Cloud. Open the item's history from its details panel instead.
